The actions of a mob that stormed an airport in Russia's Daghestan region, seeking to attack Jewish passengers, can be described as an "attempted pogrom," according to Serhiy Danylov from the Center for Middle East Studies think tank. A senior rabbi in Daghestan, Ovadia Isakov, said Jews were now "afraid" and that he did not feel safe himself.
