Siberian Lawmaker, Former Navalny Associate Confined To Detention Center

A court in Siberia on November 13 ordered Ksenia Fadeyeva, a local lawmaker and the former head of jailed opposition leader Aleksei Navalny's regional team, to be sent to pretrial detention. An investigation of Fadeyeva was launched in December 2021 and she was charged with extremism, barred from using the Internet and from communicating with others without the permission of investigators, and attending public events.
