Imagery Shows Train Crossed From North Korea Into Russia, First Recorded Trip In Years

A train has crossed into Russia from North Korea, some of the first observable rail traffic between the two countries in years. The report by 38 North, a Washington research project, comes amid reports from U.S. officials that Russia might be turning to North Korea for help in resupplying its weapons stocks. 38 North said the discovery was made using commercial satellite imagery, but it could not determine the train’s cargo or the purpose of the journey.
