Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 14 signed a law on electronic military enlistment aimed at making it more difficult for potential draftees to evade duty. According to the law, enlistment papers will be sent by both regular mail and electronically. The electronic variant will be considered as delivered to a person seven days after being placed online in an account opened for each person eligible for conscription.
