Putin Says Rio Medals Cheapened By Absence Of Russians

President Vladimir Putin told Russia's Olympic team members that the exclusion of many of their colleagues from the Rio Games was part of a political campaign against Russian sports. Speaking at the official Kremlin sendoff for the Russian team on July 27, Putin said any medal won in Rio, in the absence of Russian athletes, would be worth less than in previous Olympics. (AP)
