An aide to Vladimir Putin says the Russian president will visit Turkey on October 10 for talks with Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Presidential aide Yury Ushakov made the remark on October 4, adding that Putin would also speak at the World Energy Congress in Istanbul during his visit.
The World Energy Congress is scheduled from October 9 through October 13.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said earlier that a meeting between Putin and Erdogan could take place in Turkey during early October.
Relations between Turkey and Russia broke down for about seven-months after Turkey shot down a Russian warplane in November.
But relations have improved since a failed coup attempt against Erdogan by Turkey's military in July.
Putin and Erdogan last met on September 3 in China's southeastern city of Hangzhou on the sidelines of a summit of the Group of 20 (G20) major economies that was being held there.
Shortly after those talks, Russian and Turkish defense officials reached an agreement for closer military cooperation in Syria.
