A painting by Rembrandt has been recovered by police in Serbia, seven years after it was stolen.

Local media reports said four people had been arrested in connection with the theft of the painting, "Portrait of Rembrandt's Father," from 1630.

The painting was stolen from the art museum in the city of Novi Sad in 2006.

Two armed robbers tied up a guard and stole the Rembrandt along with three other paintings, including "Seneca" by Rubens.
