The foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, and Syria will hold talks in Moscow on October 28.
Russia's Foreign Ministry said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem to discuss closer cooperation in Iraq and Syria.
Moscow and Tehran both support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on October 26 that "the parties will focus on the situation in Aleppo," the besieged city in northern Syrian city where Russia has been conducting air strikes.
The ministry added that the talks will also focus on "efforts by the Russian and Syrian military in continuing to fight the Islamic State terror group and Jabhat al-Nusra," in reference to the extremist groups Moscow is fighting in Syria.
