In his first official acknowledgment of the country's combat losses, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said 31,000 Ukrainian military personnel have been killed since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion two years ago. Zelenskiy said he would not discuss the number of wounded, citing security reasons.
