(RFE/RL) 2 November 2005 -- Ukraine's parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, today rejected a memorandum on providing air support for NATO operations.
The rejection is seen as a setback for Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko's government, which has made joining the European Union and the NATO military alliance a top priority.
