The Ukrainian-made An-140 plane crashed late on 23 December, shortly after taking off from the Azerbaijani capital Baku on route to Aktau, Kazakhstan.
All 23 people on board the Azerbaijani Airlines plane, including eight foreigners, were killed.
News agencies today are quoting reports that the plane's flight data and voice recorders, known as black boxes, have been found.
Yesterday, Ukrainian investigators and experts from Ukraine's Kharkiv State Aviation Production plant joined investigators in Azerbaijan to help learn what caused the plane to crash.
Local television in Azerbaijan reported the wreckage from the plane was scattered over a two-kilometer area.
