USAID Launches Energy-Efficiency Program In Ukraine


Ukrainians protesting against energy rate hikes in April (epa) July 10, 2006 -- The United States launched a $1 million program today to help upgrade energy infrastructure in Ukraine.


The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) said in a statement the funds are for energy audits, conservation projects, and promoting partnerships between Ukrainian energy-service companies and their foreign counterparts.
