Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez in Moscow on July 27 (RFE/RL) July 29, 2006 -- Russia's Gazprom says it has signed a contract with Venezuela to help plan the development of the South American country's natural gas sector.
Gazprom's statement today says the contract was signed on July 27, the same day that Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
