Four Rebels, Two Police Killed In Chechnya Fighting


(RFE/RL) February 13, 2007 -- Four militants and two police officers were killed today in fighting in Chechnya.


The clash took place near the village of Ishkoi-Yurt in Chechnya's Gudermes district.


Chechnya's Interior Ministry said police clashed with a group of rebels who were hiding in a deserted house.


Police said they had seized weapons at the scene and were in the process of identifying the slain militants.
