Daniyal Akhmetov (file photo) (AFP) February 22, 2007 -- Kazakh Defense Minister Daniyal Akhmetov says he will work with Russian officials to draft a plan within a month to reorganize the Kazakh armed forces.

Akhmetov said the program should allow the Central Asian republic to significantly change the image of its military by 2015.

He said he recently discussed the issue with Russia's state intermediary for military exports and imports, Rosoboroneksport.
