Iraqi President Home After Treatment In Jordan


Talabani saying farewell to Jordan's King Abdullah before leaving Amman today (epa) March 14, 2007 -- Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has returned to Iraq after more than two weeks of medical treatment in Jordan.


Talabani was flown to the Amman after he collapsed on February 25 in his hometown of Al-Sulaymaniyah, in northern Iraq.


Doctors said he was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration.


Talabani today flew back directly to Al-Sulaymaniyah, where hundreds of people had gathered to welcome him home.
