Top OSCE Official To Visit Central Asia


Goran Lennmarker (OSCE) April 25, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- The president of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly is scheduled to travel to Central Asia this week.


Goran Lennmarker, a Swedish lawmaker, plans to visit Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan from April 27 to May 4.


Kazakhstan is due to host the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly's annual session in 2008.


Lennmarker paid a brief visit to Turkmenistan in February.
