Moscow, 9 September 1996 (RFE/RL) - Russian Foreign Minister Yevgeny Primakov and NATO Secretary General Javier Solana will hold talks later this month.
A Moscow-based spokesman for the NATO military alliance, John Lough, told RFE/RL that Primakov is scheduled to meet Solana in Vienna on September 20.
The two are expected to discuss NATO's planned eastward expansion, which Moscow has opposed. They are also expected to discuss the future of the NATO-led peace implementation force in Bosnia. Russian troops are participating in the operation.
