Georgian fruit exports to Russia are scheduled to resume after a seven-year ban.
The head of Russia's agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor, Sergei Dankvert, said last week that restrictions would be lifted on the import of citrus fruit, grapes, apples, pears, quince, and other fruit from Georgia.
Rosselkhoznadzor said last week that the first Georgian fruit to be exported to Russia would be citrus.
Rosselkhoznadzor banned the import of Georgian vegetables, fruit, water, and wine in 2006 over quality concerns.
Russia resumed Georgian wine imports in June.
According to Russian officials, Georgia is set to export some 70,000 tons of mandarins to Russia until the end of the year.
