The OSCE's Dunja Mijatovic seems happy with the appointment of a new spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign affairs:
Here's a report of casualties in eastern Ukraine from our news desk:
Ukraine says Russian-backed rebels have launched one of their fiercest attacks in the country’s east since the signing of a February deal on a cease-fire, killing eight Ukrainian soldiers and wounding 16 over the past 24 hours.
Ukraine's Security Council said on July 15: "Over the past day there was one of the most intense bombardments of Ukrainian territory since the signing of the Minsk agreement."
The statement said rebel fighters bombarded Ukrainian positions with 152-milimeter cannons, but didn’t specify where the shelling took place.
"The latest events are proof of yet another attempt by Russia and its puppet to wreck the Minsk agreement and restart active military hostilities," it added.
Ukrainian government forces and separatists accuse the other of regularly violating the truce.
More than 6,500 people have been killed since fighting erupted in April 2014.
