MOSCOW -- Dozens of demonstrators gathered in the center of Moscow to demand a full investigation into the deadly apartment building bombings in 1999, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.
The bombings 10 years ago in the Russian cities of Buynaksk, Moscow, and Volgodonsk killed over 300 people.
Rights activists and members of the Public Committee on Investigations into the September 1999 Bombings took part in the demonstration, where many people held signs stating, "We demand an investigation!" and "The authorities are hiding the truth!"
Two people, Adam Dekkushev and Yusuf Krymshamkhalov, were found guilty of carrying out the terrorist attacks and sentenced to life in prison in 2003. The organizers of the bombings have never been identified.
