ODESA -- Ukrainian police and customs officers have detained two Moldovan citizens at the airport in Odesa, RFE/RL's Ukrainian service reports.
Officials of the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office told journalists that Moldovan authorities had requested the detention of Gabriel Stati and Aurel Marinescu for their alleged "involvement in organizing an attempt to overthrow the Moldovan government."

Moldovan opposition and their supporters have been protesting the results of the parliamentary elections held last on April 5, accusing the Moldovan government of fraud.
