Taliban Militants Attack Polish Base In Eastern Afghanistan

Seven people were reported killed and dozens wounded in an attack claimed by the Taliban on a military base in eastern Afghanistan's Ghazni Province on August 28. Taliban militants set off car bombs at two ends of the base before trying to storm the facility, triggering a six-hour gun battle with Afghan and Polish forces inside.
