Taliban Disperses Kabul Women's Protest

A few dozen women took to the streets of the Afghan capital, Kabul, on September 3 to demand that their rights be preserved under Taliban rule. Footage taken by protesters and shared with RFE/RL shows Taliban fighters initially looking on at the protest, then trying to disperse the demonstrators and stop people from filming. Similar rallies took place again in Kabul on September 4 and on September 2 in the western Afghan city of Herat.
