Two women were killed when the Belarusian ambassador to Russia's car collided with their vehicle in western Russia on November 19.
The ambassador, Ihar Petryshenka, and his driver were injured in the collision in the Smolensk province, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on November 20.
It said they were not hospitalized.
The Belarussian Embassy in Moscow said Petryshenka had expressed his "sincerest condolences" to the families of the two women.
Petryshenka was riding in a Mercedes, while the two women were the only occupants of a Russian-made Zhiguli.
Russian authorities are investigating.
