The artistic director of Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet says he feels fit to return to work, eight months after an acid attack nearly blinded him.

The 42-year-old Sergei Filin made the remarks to Russian media following his return to Moscow, after treatment in Germany that included 22 operations.

Bolshoi spokeswoman Katerina Novikova said Filin was scheduled to take part in the troupe’s reunion on September 17.
