Britain Says Will Double Troops In Afghanistan

British Prime Minister Theresa May said London would double its forces in Afghanistan in response to a request from NATO, as she arrived at the alliance's summit in Brussels on July 11. An additional 440 troops will bring Britain's total commitment to around 1,100, assisting Afghan forces fighting Taliban and Islamic State militants.
