Russian authorities say four militants have been killed in two separate incidents in Daghestan in the troubled North Caucasus region.
A regional spokesman for Russia's Investigative Committee says security forces killed two militants in a special operation near the city of Khasavyurt on November 16.
Two more militants were killed in a car after they reportedly opened fire at police near a village in the same district that day.
Investigators are still trying to identify those killed.
