Nine-year-old Bacho Tsiklauri is the only student in his primary school in the Georgian village of Makarta. Set in a remote mountain gorge, the village has just 30 residents. Three older children, including Bacho's brother, Dato, attend high school in a neighboring town four kilometers away.
