Iran's Fars news agency says security forces in Azerbaijan have arrested and jailed its correspondent in Baku.
Fars said the correspondent's house was raided on late on February 17 and he was detained without any specific charge.
The semi-official news agency said on its webpage that the arrest was part of an alleged anti-Iranian campaign in Azerbaijan.
RFE/RL quoted the brother of the arrested correspondent as saying that Anar Bayramov was detained and charged with possession of 3 grams of heroin.
Bayramov was also affiliated with Sahar TV, an Iranian Azeri-language television station that has been accused by Azerbaijani officials of interference in domestic affairs.
