Deadly Wave Of Attacks In Iraq
Two car bombs detonated in the Iraqi city of Kirkuk on January 16, killing at least 16 people and wounding nearly 200. The first blast targeted the offices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, where police and civilians were helping to carry victims out of the rubble, followed by a second car bomb in the same neighborhood. Other bombings were also reported in Tuz Khurmatu, 75 kilometers from Kirkuk, and in Baghdad. (Reuters)
