Khan Issues Ultimatum After Pakistan Clashes

A fire blazed near an Islamabad subway station amid clashes between supporters of former Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistani security forces late on May 25. The following day, the security forces advanced on the remaining protesters, who largely dispersed after Khan issued a six-day ultimatum to the government to call an election. In one incident, however, demonstrators hurled stones at a policeman.
