MOSCOW -- The wife of jailed Russian activist Sergei Udaltsov has been threatened at her home, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.
Anastasia Udaltsova told RFE/RL that on February 16 night an unknown person rang the doorbell to her apartment and said she was getting a warning that things would be "even worse in the future."
Udaltsova said she was terrified and called the police. When the police arrived they found the corridor of the apartment building where the couple lives painted black with numerous threats and insults to Udaltsov on the walls.
Udaltsov, a coordinator of the opposition Left Front movement, is serving a 10-day prison term for attempting to hold an unsanctioned mass protest in Moscow last week.
