U.S. Senate Confirms John Kerry

The U.S. Senate has confirmed Massachusetts Senator John Kerry as the next secretary of state in a vote of 94 to 3. Once sworn in, Kerry will replace Hillary Clinton, who is stepping down after four years. Kerry is a decorated Vietnam veteran and ran unsuccessfully against President George W.
