After Woman's Killing In Kosovo, Protesters March Against Gender-Based Violence

Demonstrators gathered on December 7 in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, to protest against a woman's killing in what prosecutors say was a murder arranged by her husband. Liridona Murseli, a 30-year-old mother of two, was shot in her car on November 29. Police initially thought the crime was a robbery gone wrong before evidence emerged pointing toward an attack by a hired hitman. Protesters carried signs with the slogan "Stop Femicide" and demanded action on the wider issue of violence against women in Kosovo.
