Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrovov says there are around 30,000 Ukrainian refugees in Russia’s Rostov region.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to hold talks on June 11 in Moscow with OSCE Secretary-General Lamberto Zannier on defusing the crisis in Ukraine.

In remarks to journalsits on June 10, Lavrov said he would invite Zannier to visit Russia's southwestern city of Rostov-on-Don to meet with refugees fleeing the violence in Ukraine.

According to Lavrov, there are around 30,000 Ukrainian refugees in Russia’s Rostov region.

Lavrov's comments came after an informal meeting on the Ukraine crisis with his German and Polish counterparts in Russia's second-largest city, St. Petersburg.

Zannier is expected to visit Ukraine's eastern regions of Luhansk and Donetsk, where Ukrainian security forces have been fighting armed pro-Russian separatist groups.
