-- Anonymous sources quoted by CNN say U.S. intelligence "concludes it is more likely than previously thought that Russian forces will enter eastern Ukraine."

-- U.S. President Barack Obama, in the keynote speech of his visit to Europe, chided Russia for its use of "brute force" in Ukraine and vowed that a determined alliance of the United States and Europe will prevail over time.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has extended talks with Kyiv on a Ukrainian aid package until March 25, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.

The fund's mission chief Nikolay Gueorguiev cited "significant progress in discussing with the Ukrainian authorities the policies to put the country on the path of economic reform, sound governance, and sustainable growth while protecting the poor and vulnerable," according to Reuters.
