Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has fired his special envoy to Kyrgyzstan, Vladimir Rushailo.
No reason for Rushalio's dismissal on April 23 was announced.
Rushailo had been appointed as the Kremlin's special envoy for the development of relations with Kyrgyzstan on May 13, 2010.
This appointment was made just one month after popular protests in Bishkek toppled Kyrgyzstan's President Kurmanbek Bakiev and the administration of the country was taken over by the interim government of Roza Otunbaeva.
Rushailo had previously worked as Russia's interior minister, the secretary of Russia's Security Council, and the executive secretary of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
