A suspected militant has been killed in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia.
Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) says Sultan-Gerey Khashakhulgov was shot dead on February 13 after he opened fire on police.
Khashakhulgov wounded one security officer, who was taken to a hospital.
The incident took place during a search of Khashakhulgov's house in Ingushetia's largest city, Nazran.
According to the FSB officials, Khashakhulgov has been involved in the activities of illegal armed groups in the region.
His two brothers were recently arrested in the neighboring republic of North Ossetia- Alania for alleged involvement in a terrorist act in the city of Vladikavkaz.
