The U.S. Embassy in Tashkent says an unidentified assailant has tossed "two improvised incendiary devices on to embassy grounds.”

In a security message for U.S. citizens, the embassy said one of the incendiary devices exploded, but no one was injured in the attack which occurred early on September 28.

As a result of the incident, the embassy said, security presence has been increased at the diplomatic mission but it is “no longer on lockdown and is open for business.”

“At this time there is no specific threat information against Americans and/or American interests,” it added.

An investigation on the incident is under way.
