One more Russian activist is under investigation in connection with the mass protest action on Moscow’s Bolotnaya Square two years ago.
Russia's Investigative Committee said on May 26 that investigators have charged a woman in St. Petersburg with participation in mass disorders.
According to the Investigative Committee, Polina Strongina has partially confessed to the charges. She has been asked not to leave the city during the ongoing investigation.
In May 2012, Russian opposition groups staged a "March of Millions" that ended in violent clashes between demonstrators and police on and around Bolotnaya Square.
The violence took place on the eve of Vladimir Putin's inauguration for a third term as president.
More than 400 people were detained and 28 were charged for their alleged part in the unrest.
Some of the activists have been sentenced to several years in jail, while others are still being tried.
