Pakistani Authorities Announce Deal With Tehrik-e Labaik Religious Party Amid Protests

Pakistani authorities used shipping containers to block main roads in and out of Islamabad as protests continued following the anniversary of a French magazine's publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad. The government announced that it will seek a vote in parliament on the expulsion of the French ambassador, a key demand of the religious party Tehrik-e Labaik (TLP).
