Police in the Pakistani port city of Karachi have registered a criminal case against senior Pakistani Taliban figures in connection with an attack on a bus that killed at least 12 police and injured 50.
The police report formally charges Pakistani Taliban leader Mullah Faizullah and the group's spokesman, Shahidullah Shahid, with murder and terrorism.
It is based on Shahid's claim of responsibility for the February 13 attack.
The attack is the latest in a series that has raised doubts about faltering peace talks in Pakistan.
Talks scheduled for February 13 between government negotiators and Faizullah's delegates were cancelled after the attack, with Islamabad demanding an explanation for ongoing Taliban violence.
Earlier this week, at least 22 people were killed by Taliban attacks in the northwestern city of Peshawar.
