U.S. President Donald Trump will welcome Romanian President Klaus Iohannis at the White House on August 20.
The White House said they will discuss security challenges and ways to advance trade and energy partnerships.
Romanians this year are commemorating the 30th year since the fall of communism and the 15th year of Romania's NATO membership.
Bilateral trade between the United States and Romania in 2018 totaled more than $3.72 billion, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
