Putin To Visit Tashkent


Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to visit Uzbekistan on December 10.

Putin's press service said on December 8 that during his visit to Tashkent at Uzbek President Islam Karimov's invitation, Putin will discuss the countries' "strategic partnership" in trade, investment, and culture.

Putin and Karimov last met in Dushanbe in September.

The presidential press service added that among other issues, regional security and the situation in Afghanistan will be on the agenda of the talks.

Several bilateral documents are also expected to be signed.
