Iran Marks Army Day, Rohani Vows To Make Any Weapons Needed
President Hassan Rohani said Iran would make or buy any weapons needed to defend itself in a region beset by "invading powers." He spoke during a military parade in Tehran on National Army Day on April 18. Rohani also assured countries in the region that Iran seeks good neighborly relations and poses no threat. Britain, France, and Germany reportedly have proposed fresh EU sanctions on Iran over its ballistic missiles and its role in Syria’s war. (AP)
