An explosion at a military training site in northwestern Russia has killed six airborne troops and injured two others.
The Defense Ministry said the soldiers were likely killed by the accidental explosion of an artillery shell.
They were reportedly returning late on October 22 from exercises at a training site near the city of Pskov.
It is the second deadly incident at the Pskov firing range in less than three years.
In April 2011, four servicemen were killed and another was injured there in an explosion during drills.
