IS Video Shows Purported Execution Of Two ‘Russian Spies’

Islamic State militants have released a video purportedly showing a young boy executing two men who are said to be spies for Russia.

The seven-minute video includes interrogations of the two men, who say they infiltrated the Islamist group in Syria on behalf of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

The video, narrated by a Russian-speaker, ends after showing a young boy apparently executing the two men by shooting them in the back of the head as they kneel in a field.

The alleged spies both speak Russian in the video.

One says he is from Kazakhstan.

The other does not indicate his nationality but says he worked for the FSB in Russia for eight months before arriving in Syria.

The FSB declined to comment on the video.
