Russia's Defense Ministry said on July 28 that it had thwarted an attack by a drone "on objectives in the Moscow region" overnight. The ministry said in a statement that the drone was destroyed by its air-defense forces. It did not say where the drone had been shot down or what its alleged targets were. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel that an attempted attack on Moscow occurred overnight and there were no casualties or damages.
