Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has said that Russia will fully "renovate" its entire nuclear arsenal in the next few years.
In a televised talk show broadcast late on September 21, Rogozin said that 70 percent of Russia's armed forces will "switch" to "ultra-modern" military equipment by 2020.
Earlier this month, France announced it will not deliver the first of two Mistral-class warships to Russia in October as planned because of Moscow's aggressive actions in eastern Ukraine.
Rogozin dismissed the decision as unlawful, adding that Russia is now capable of building such large vessels itself.
"The New York Times" reported on September 21 that the United States is undergoing a nationwide wave of atomic revitalization that it says includes plans for a new generation of weapon carriers.
